Dotnetjalps.com- 551 blog posts and still counting!!

Today is one of the most important day for this blog as I am writing 551th blog post for this blog post. I can’t believe this..yeah this blog has completed 550 blog post.

People I like to thank:

First of all I like to thank my parents for whatever I am without them I could not even stand near where I am right now!!.  Then I would like to thank my wife without her support it would not have been possible to write this 551 blog post..So thank you sweetheart. My younger brother who has been moral support for me whenever I feel low or something was not working my way. My little champ who give me all energy that I have. Whole MVP community and friends where I learn so many things and off course readers of this blog. Without readers this blog is not there where it is right now!!

How I started blogging:

Actually  I was not serious about blogging I just show a blog with blogspot domain and for curiosity I have also registered a blog actually at that time I have registered it with my name like http://jalpesh.blogspot.com. At that time I have no idea that what blog is. After registering blog for first month I have not done anything and one one day I just goggled my name and I found my blog listing over there even if I have not written anything. I feel excited and decided I should write some thing and that’s how I have started writing.

Earlier I was just writing blog posts to make a repository of my code whatever I have done in my professional life. But when I came Ahmedabad at that time I understand the true value of blog and then I started taking it very seriously and started writing blog post that can help others and me to learn new things.

Then I brought my own domain last year http://www.dotnetjalps.com to create my own brand.

This blog is my journey of learning and I believe in this journey and continue to walk on it that’s why I have made title of this blog post still counting!!

www.dotnetjalps.com new domain for personal blog

After more then 4 years of blogging I have decided to migration my personal blog to its own domain http://www.dotnetjalps.com. There are few reasons why I have migrated my blog to new domain.
  1. Custom domain is your own identity. So you can create your brand.
  2. Now all page ranks and All SEO belongs to my custom domain instead of blogger platform.
  3. SEO will be more easy then standard custom domain.
  4. I want to reach more people and its easy with your custom domain
  5. People will share bookmarks with my custom domain. So If I migrated my blog to another plate all things will remain same.
  6. PageRank was increasing with subdomains very slowly. While with custom it will increase faster.
  7. In lots of companies I have seen block blog word with custom domain its will removed. So more people can reach at my blog when they need me.
Here is a great link which inspired me a lot for migrating my blog to http://jalpesh.blogspot.com to http://www.dotnetjalps.com.

Note: I have not change my feeds address for personal blog. So RSS feeds will remain same at- http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/DotNetJalps.

On this opportunity once again I would like thanks my reader and my supporters for making me whatever I am. Without you guys it would not have been possible. You are the real hero for me. So please keep reading my blogs and send me suggestions to make better and better.

One another great news is that DZone people send me a certificate for my DZone MVB. So I would like to take this opportunity to  share with you guys.

DZoneCertificate

That’s it. Please comment your views about my blog. Stay tuned for more..Till then Happy Programming.. Namaste!!!

Important milestone achieved. This is my 400th Blog post

When I started this blog before four Years I was not serious about blogging. I was just started this blog to register domain against my name. After a while I was inspired by great community bloggers like ScottGu,Pinal Dave,Jacob Sebastian and some other friends like Vivek Patel. Then I started blogging seriously but at that time I was not aware of how to blog. I was just writing whatever I like or whatever I have found. I have no idea of syntax highlighting, blogging technique and SEO. Day by day I learned a lot and started working on things and as a Result of it Today I got 400th Blog post on my this blog.

I would like to thanks each and every reader and my fellow community blogger to helping me achieve this. Without them I could not achieve this.

Still I have seen there are lots of exceptional developers who are not writing blog. I would like to recommend that please read my blog post “Why a developer should blog?”. I must say once again that If you are doing great work then you should share it with the community and get their views of what you are doing.

On this occasion I would love to share some thoughts on blogging like following.
  1. Do not write blog to increase your blog post or get any recognition . Instead of this write your blog for self pride and community.
  2. Do no worry about who is going to read this blog. How you can increase your readers instead of that keep writing blogs and one day you will achieve whatever you like to do. Read your blog post once you posted it on your blog and it will give you great joy and satisfaction.
  3. keep inspired by your fellow community bloggers and try to improve your blogging.
  4. If you are technical blogger then Keep your post to give a complete solution of a problem because if readers will not get complete solution then they got frustrated with you.
  5. Learn and explore new things and share you experience on you blog.
  6. Always be good listener and you will learn a lot.
  7. Nobody knows everything. We all are learning everyday something so keep doing mistakes but learn from those mistakes and try to not repeat the same mistakes again.
Statistics of my blog:

On this occasion I would like to share my statistics of blog below are my statistics of blogStastics

Once again I would like to thank the readers and all the fellow bloggers without them it was not possible to achieve this. Keep blogging.. Stay tuned for more..
