Learning resources for ASP.NET MVC

I am getting lots of question regarding where to learn ASP.NET MVC. So I thought it will beneficial to write a blog post so that everyone get advantages of it. Today there are multiple resources available to learn ASP.NET MVC here I have listed some of the my favorite resources to learn ASP.NET MVC.

Videos:


Videos are great way to learn any technology and there are many video resources are available.

1) Pluralsight free videos on www.asp.net/mvc:

On the official asp.net mvc site Pluralsight has provided 8 free videos It it a great resource for any to get started with ASP.NET MVC. Some videos are there for ASP.NET MVC 3.0 but still it is worth learning it.


2) Training video sites like Pluralsight,lynda and learn now online:

There are multiple site available which provides training videos with great content but it is paid. Here are few options
  • Pluralsight video: In terms of learning/training video Pluralsight is no.1 site in world I highly recommend their ASP.NET MVC courses. There are plenty of courses available and you can choose any of them as per your requirement. You can find all the ASP.NET MVC courses at following link.

  • Lynda.com video: Lynda.com also contains 2 video series about ASP.NET MVC you can find that from the following link.

  • LearnNowOnline Video: Learnowonline.com is another option where you can find tons of videos there. You can find all ASP.NET MVC video from the links.

3) Youtube.com:

There are plenty of videos uploaded on youtube.com by bloggers and various companies. You can search it and find suitable videos for your learning.

Books:


If you are book lover then there are plenty of books available for ASP.NET you can search amazon.com and find books as per your ASP.NET MVC learning level. Following are some of my favourite books.

1) www.asp.net/mvc:  One of best web site to find great content about ASP.NET MVC. There significant amount of free learning blog, tutorials,videos and lots of content available there.

2) http://www.codeproject.com/: This is a great community site and you can find lots of well written architecture and blog there.
